Introduction to the multidimensional world of corporate governance. Topics include:
Systems for ethical decision‑making, Stakeholder interactions and Shareholder engagement, Accountability and Regulatory Regimes, Transparency and Oversight, Triple‑bottom line analysis, Managing in a multicultural context, Technological change and its social and environmental impacts, and Environmental sustainability. The course will use in‑class discussions and case studies examples to develop managerial competencies and decision‑making skills.

Must have a Master's degree in an area directly related to the course and demonstrate related experience in the area of the course; or a Canadian baccalaureate degree or its international equivalent with a professional designation (including, but not limited to: CPA, CFA, PMI, CMC, CHRP, CHE) with substantial managerial or professional training and experience (normally 5 years), provided there is strong evidence of management and leadership responsibilities and career progression;
or exceptionally, pending approval by a Program Director, substantial managerial or professional training and experience (normally 10 years), provided there is strong evidence of management and leadership responsibilities and career progression.
Teaching method will be delivered: online (synchronous live). Teaching method might incure changes due to health measures or other reasons.
