This role, available for approximately twelve months, is critical to shaping user experiences and community outreach initiatives. As a Senior Librarian, you'll collaborate with library and archival professionals, contribute to innovative projects, and ensure strategic alignment in collection development. Your efforts will be essential to preserving Canada’s documentary heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive reference and research support
• Develop user-centered programming for library access
• Conduct research on library initiatives and policies
• Promote LAC's services through engagement efforts
• Evaluate reference collections and recommend acquisitions
Requirements:
• A master's degree in library or information science
• Proven experience advising cultural heritage institutions
• Strong familiarity with project management
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Expertise in specialized reference services
