Culinary and Hospitality Chair

Position: Culinary and Hospitality Chair at Algonquin College
Lead academic programming at Algonquin College as the Chair of Culinary and Hospitality. This full-time role emphasizes strategic direction, curriculum development, and industry partnerships.

As the Academic Chair, you will report to the Dean and oversee diverse programs ensuring they meet student and industry needs. With accountability for planning, development, and effective resource management, you will foster teaching excellence and adapt programs to market changes. Building strong relationships with industry partners is key to enhancing student recruitment and job placement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on strategic department planning

• Facilitate faculty communication and departmental objectives

• Lead curriculum review and quality assurance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or Tourism

• 9 years of related experience

• 2 years of leadership in education preferred

• Experience in unionized personnel management

• Strong financial management skills

Ensure successful program delivery and industry engagement through leadership and expertise in culinary and hospitality education.
