Exploration of global linguistic diversity and hybridity; applications of sociolinguistic approaches to the comparative study of topics of such as: language relations, minority or lesser-used languages, languages in the media and popular culture, histories of languages, dialects, language politics and policies, and intercultural translation

Requirements

Doctorat dans un domaine des langues et littératures du monde, ou équivalent. Expérience universitaire requise. Expertise dans les domaines suivants : enseignement des langues, littératures, cinémas et autres expressions culturelles de différentes régions du monde ; diversité et politiques linguistiques, langues minoritaires, langues dans les médias et la culture populaire, et traduction interculturelle. Bilingue. PhD in a field of world languages and literatures, or equivalent.

University experience required. Expertise in the following areas: teaching of languages, literatures, cinemas, and other cultural expressions from different regions of the world; linguistic diversity and policies, minority languages, languages in the media and popular culture, and intercultural translation. Bilingual.

This course will be offered in person. An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
