Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour

We seek a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker to teach and tutor students in French from grades 1 to 12 in a small‑group setting. Teaching will be conducted in French and will follow Oxford Learning’s methodologies and philosophies. All lesson plans and curriculum materials are provided.

• After‑school and evening hours, Tuesday‑Thursday (4:00 pm–8:15 pm). A term commitment through June is preferred, continuation through summer is a plus.

• Strong background in spoken and written French and English. Must be comfortable teaching up to Grade 9;
Grade 12 is preferred.

• In‑person position; must be able to commute to Stittsville.

• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 1‑8 French core curriculum

• Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 1‑8 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students simultaneously

• Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
