OCDSB Elementary Teachers List

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community  schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.

We are seeking creative, dynamic, committed teachers to join our:

We are looking for Certified Occasional Teachers to join our Elementary OT Roster (K-8).

Occasional Teachers replace short term absences in our schools and are an integral part of our district.

• Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (individuals with a pending OCT certificate should proceed with submitting their application)
• Must hold a minimum of one Basic Qualification of either Primary, Junior or Intermediate.

The local residency is a mandatory requirement for onboarding. Successful candidates must reside in the Ottawa or surrounding area or be willing to relocate within 60 days from the date of offer, and must be available to begin accepting assignments immediately upon completion of the onboarding process.

Following the closure of this competition in August 2026, only candidates with the required qualifications, who are in Good Standing and visible on OCT, will be contacted for an interview for the next available date.
Interviews are expected to take place in September 2026.

Should your OCT certification remain pending at the closure of this competition, you will be required to re-submit your application.
