Position: Ottawa Carleton Educational Assistant Needed
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a committed Educational Assistant. This role plays a crucial part in supporting students with exceptional needs, particularly Autism and sensory disabilities.

In this position, you will work under the Principal’s supervision, providing essential support in special programming and daily activities for students. Whether you're assisting with physiotherapy exercises, learning programs, or managing classroom interactions, your role is vital in enhancing student engagement and success. This position requires dedication and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of individualized educational programs

• Assist students in academic, social, and physical development

• Conduct physiotherapy and support for personal hygiene

• Document behaviors and support data analysis

• Participate in yard duties and other support activities

Requirements:

• Completion of DSW or CYW program or equivalent

• 1-2 years of relevant experience with special needs children

• First Aid/CPR Level C preferred

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training desired

• Knowledge of assistive technologies beneficial
