As an Educational Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Principal, offering crucial support for students facing various challenges. Responsibilities include management of behavioral needs, academic support, and implementation of specialized programs tailored to the needs of each child. The role requires a flexible approach as assignments are based on daily needs across elementary and secondary schools in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for students with special needs

• Implement behaviour management strategies

• Assist in physiotherapy exercises and pool duties

• Participate in educational program modifications

• Supervise outdoor activities and provide toileting support

Requirements:

• Community college diploma in a related field

• 1-2 years of relevant experience with special needs children

• ASL Level 3 certification mandatory

• First Aid and CPR Level C certification

• Completed Behaviour Modification training
