Wilfrid Laurier University seeks a lecturer for the Business Law course, BU231H/J, for Winter 2027. This in-person lecture will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays and focuses on fundamental legal principles crucial for business success.
Engage students at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics by elucidating concepts of contract and tort law. Candidates must hold an LLB/JD degree and be well-versed in the Canadian legal landscape, including practical insights from court decisions. Effectively managing large lecture classes and fostering student understanding is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lecture on business law topics and lead student discussions
• Develop and organize course content in line with university standards
• Offer mentorship through office hours for student engagement
• Coordinate with other faculty for curriculum coherence
• Evaluate student performance rigorously and provide feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree with LLB/JD qualification
• Relevant teaching experience in law preferred
• Member in good standing of Ontario Law Society
• Capacity to handle large student classes effectively
• Proven ability to teach undergraduate students
