Position: Educational Assistant Term Role OCSB
Support student needs as a term Educational Assistant with the Ottawa Catholic School Board in Ottawa, Ontario. This role focuses on assisting students with specific developmental and learning challenges.

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is hiring a term Educational Assistant for a classroom setting. Ideal candidates will support children with various physical and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include aiding in academic development and ensuring students’ emotional and hygienic needs are met, while fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with specific developmental needs in the classroom

• Support academic development and learning activities

• Attend to emotional and hygienic requirements of students

• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to enhance educational programs

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal

Requirements:

• Secondary school diploma required

• 2-year Community college diploma or child-related degree

• Minimum 2 years of experience with diverse learning needs

• CPR/First Aid certification an asset

• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
