SCHOOL OF POLITICAL STUDIES FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA Tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Public Management The School of Political Studies, within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa, invites applications for one (1) tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in PUBLIC MANAGEMENT. Candidates must demonstrate expertise, as well as a strong research and publication record, in Public Management (open area of specialization).

- Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Public Management Programs
- Supervision of graduate students
- Commitment to participating in the educational and administrative activities of the units and the Faculty
- Performing any other activity provided for in the Collective Agreement
- PhD in Public Management or a related field
- Ability to teach in Public Management at the time of appointment
- Ability to teach in both English and French at the time of appointment
- Quality of teaching record
- Quality of publication and research record
BILINGUALISM As a bilingual institution, the University of Ottawa requires all professors in the Faculty of Social Sciences to demonstrate active bilingualism in English and French before being granted tenure. The working language of the School of Political Studies is French. The University offers faculty members and their spouses/partners the opportunity to take courses to improve their proficiency in their second language.
