Teach automotive service at Algonquin College using Red Seal expertise, educational technology, and effective student assessment. This is a full-time academic appointment.
The professor teaches assigned courses within Automotive and Mechanical Trades. Responsibilities include curriculum development, student advising, academic leadership, and evaluating achievement. The position supports learning across Fall, Winter, or Summer terms and may include Coordinator duties in Spring. Candidates bring practical automotive experience and postsecondary teaching knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, revise, and update automotive courses
- Deliver scheduled instruction across assigned academic terms
- Provide tutoring and academic advising to students
- Evaluate student progress and course achievement
- Guide instructors, students, and part-time professors
- 310S Automotive Service Technician Red Seal
- Minimum five years of related practical experience
- Minimum two years of teaching experience, or equivalent
- Knowledge of postsecondary student success strategies
- Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
