Teach and assess Finite Element Methods at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus using structural engineering expertise and English communication.
This Teaching Assistant supports CVG
5156 in the Faculty of Engineering during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course is offered by the Department of Civil Engineering and supervised by Dr. Martin-Perez. The work involves student contact, grading, proctoring, and other assigned duties conducted in person on campus.
- Support students enrolled in Finite Element Methods
- Provide 60 hours of student contact
- Complete 60 hours of grading
- Proctor course activities for six hours
- Perform four hours of other assigned work
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- PhD required
- Excellent comprehension of matrix structural analysis
- Excellent Structural Engineering background knowledge
- Excellent oral communication skills in English
