The roleWe are looking for a Health Safety and Environment Advisor to support our Health, Safety and Environment Branch (HSE). The Health Safety and Environment Advisor would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Your primary responsibilities:
- Advising, promoting and coaching management and employees on relevant HSE work standards, tools, practices, procedures, and regulations;
- Partnering with Site/Client for the application and implementation of the Hazard prevention program;
- Assisting with hazardous occurrence incident investigations, identification of causes and appropriate measures;
- Participating in the development of the site's/clients’ HSE strategy and setting of pertinent goals and action plans;
- Working with clients to identify adequate HSE resources (outsourced training or services) and required PPE for the specific tasks;
- Actively participating in operational and group meetings, townhalls, committees as required.
What we are looking for:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to learn about new clients, new policies and programs;
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of safety programs in mostly industrial or research environments;
- Fine tuned analytical and communication skills.

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
EducationBachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, environment), engineering, or industrial hygiene.
Equivalent level of training, knowledge and experience may be considered (as an alternate to the above).

- CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) certification
- Significant experience providing guidance, advice and support to management and operational teams in relation to occupational health, safety and environment in multi-faceted work operations.
