Renewable Energy Control Room Lead

Guide renewable generation control room operations for Enbridge in Calgary, applying power systems expertise and leadership during time-sensitive events. The work is primarily office-based.

This Team Lead directs controllers responsible for safe, reliable, and compliant renewable asset operations. You will handle abnormal scenarios, coordinate real-time responses, and communicate with internal teams, sites, and grid operators. Success requires experience with control room operations, renewable technologies, SCADA systems, and regulated power environments.

• Direct controller activities during daily renewable operations
• Respond to outages, alarms, weather events, and instructions
• Serve as escalation point during complex events
• Communicate operational updates during critical situations
• Support procedure and operational best-practice improvements

• Five years of experience in a similar operational role
• Experience in a 24/7 control room environment
• Knowledge of power generation and grid operations
• Skill with SCADA and data acquisition tools
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
