As a Field Applications Engineer you will interface with our customers, and internal product development, product marketing, and sales teams.
Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycleProvide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol productsPrepare materials and participate in product presentationsProvide drawing, models to customer requestsProvide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiriesHelp devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitorsMeet and exceed strategic objectivesSome travel will be required as needed to support various customer sites and Amphenol factory visits.Other travel for internal meetings, Trade Shows, and / or other customer meetings outside of Ottawa is required.Amphenol is a result driven company that allows its employees a large degree of freedom to achieve pre-defined goals. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering, advanced degree preferredMinimum of 5 years displayed experience providing product marketing and sales technical support to produce design winsExperience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office ProductsSKILLS:
Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerial functions of a businessStrong organization and presentation skillsHigh level customer service and ability to build relationships with customersModeling tools (Pro E or Solid Works)Microsoft Office ProductsThe base salary range for this position is $110,000-$137,000 CAD. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program, paid time off, paid holidays, pension plan, and more.
Our Field Applications Engineers are also eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus program and provided with a company vehicle.
