JOB SUMMARY
Development Review is responsible for provincial and City land use planning policies and directions, including engineering design reviews, review of urban design, infrastructure, transportation, and parks and the processing of various development applications for the urban, suburban and rural areas.
Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Applications, you are responsible for the technical review of infrastructure related to development work submitted by consultants, developers and the general public, within the assigned geographic area. You also coordinate the approval of Building Permit Grading Plans.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary Student - completion of second year college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or similar engineering program
Minimum of 4 months but less than 8 months of related experience is required in engineering design review or approvals, roads, watermains, sewers, lot grading, storm water management; experience gained either by previous work employment, volunteer work or education, people experience through retail or other service sector employment.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES
Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulatedKNOWLEDGE
