Senior Hardware Designer

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering, you will play a key role as a member of the Core Lifecycle Management team that supports packet optical products  will:

• Hardware-design prime for PCB artwork changes to enhance functionality, increase supply chain resiliency, correct errors, and/or reduce cost.
• Contributions include electrical simulation, functional schematic, physical PCB layout reviews, documentation, and working with contract manufacturing teams.
• Diagnose complex customer field failures in a hardware lab environment.
• Lead investigations and analyze high-priority customer field failures, identifying the root causes of issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Cross-functional collaboration with front-line support, software, test engineering, and manufacturing teams as required.
• Help resolve manufacturing yield and component supply shortage issues for our Operations teams.
• Identify replacement parts or devise strategies to address component-related issues.
• Make process contributions towards the improvement of product field quality across multiple products.

• Bachelor’s, or Master’s, degree in Electrical Engineering, with 7+ years of hardware design experience.
• Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, simulation and lab testing.
• Proven track record of designing and troubleshooting hardware issues in production and/or manufacturing environments.
• Extensive experience in hardware design validation with a focus on lab measurement techniques and test equipment.
• Experience in designing circuits for power conversion and sensitive low-noise circuitry.
• Experience with Fiber Optics and Photonic component including SFPs, Photodiodes, APDs and Lasers.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

$50 - $70 per hour+ full benefits packages

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
