Senior Hardware Designer

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering, you will play a key role as a member of the Core Lifecycle Management team that supports packet optical products will:
- Hardware-design prime for PCB artwork changes to enhance functionality, increase supply chain resiliency, correct errors, and/or reduce cost.
- Contributions include electrical simulation, functional schematic, physical PCB layout reviews, documentation, and working with contract manufacturing teams.
- Diagnose complex customer field failures in a hardware lab environment.
- Lead investigations and analyze high-priority customer field failures, identifying the root causes of issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional collaboration with front-line support, software, test engineering, and manufacturing teams as required.
- Help resolve manufacturing yield and component supply shortage issues for our Operations teams.
- Identify replacement parts or devise strategies to address component-related issues.
- Make process contributions towards the improvement of product field quality across multiple products.
- Bachelor’s, or Master’s, degree in Electrical Engineering, with 7+ years of hardware design experience.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, simulation and lab testing.
- Proven track record of designing and troubleshooting hardware issues in production and/or manufacturing environments.
- Extensive experience in hardware design validation with a focus on lab measurement techniques and test equipment.
- Experience in designing circuits for power conversion and sensitive low-noise circuitry.
- Experience with Fiber Optics and Photonic component including SFPs, Photodiodes, APDs and Lasers.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
$50 - $70 per hour+ full benefits packages
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
