About this opportunity:

This position is in Ericsson’s TPM DUL Algorithm team in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We are seeking an Algorithm Developer to join our highly talented team of Algorithm experts to contribute to Ericsson RTEP, ASIC Development and Support Radio Product development teams. Candidates can expect a hands‑on technical role where there is an opportunity to influence the Algorithm of the future.

• Develop and enhance radio baseband algorithms for wireless communication systems
• Implement techniques to reduce signal distortion and improve spectral performance.
• Perform experiments to assess the performance and effectiveness of algorithms.
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems in wireless communication systems.
• Analyze system performance, identify improvements, and validate through simulation.
• Document algorithm design and development processes, including creating technical reports and presentations
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate algorithms into product platforms.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in machine learning and DSP technologies.

• BS, M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, Signal Processing, or related field
• Strong background in communications theory and digital signal processing
• Experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for algorithm development and prototyping.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Good understanding of RF impairments and their impact on system performance
• Experience with Machine learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch, and scikit‑learn is needed.
• Good knowledge of measurement equipment such as Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generator etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ottawa: $85,000 - $111,300

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro‑ration rules apply.
