CNL is looking for a Chemical Scientist to innovate in nuclear waste management at the Chalk River Laboratory. This role emphasizes safety and rigorous research to support sustainable environmental practices.

As a Chemical Scientist, you’ll apply advanced chemistry and engineering skills in a full onsite role. Engage in technology development and lead a team while executing research projects that serve both our energy sector and environmental commitments. This position also involves critical mentorship and supervision, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate technologies for effective nuclear waste processing

• Guide junior scientists in research methodologies

• Execute detailed project workplans and budgets

• Prepare and contribute to technical documentation

• Model chemical behaviors and processing outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or Science with Honours

• Preferred experience in nuclear technology applications

• Competency in Matlab and other relevant tools

• Strong communication skills for scientific reporting

• Required security clearance eligibility
