Aptiv seeks a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) for Linux Kernel systems. This principal engineer role requires 12+ years of software engineering, with significant experience in embedded Linux and technical leadership. You will engage in guiding architecture discussions, mentoring engineers, and solving complex system challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead technical vision for major systems initiatives
• Design and architecture of complex, large-scale systems
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct training sessions
• Drive research and development of emerging technologies
• Collaborate with product management on technical roadmaps
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
• 12+ years software engineering experience
• 8+ years in embedded Linux systems programming
• 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles
• Expertise in C/C++ and Linux kernel architecture
