A long-standing, employee-owned engineering consultancy with a strong multi-disciplinary offering and an equally strong presence in Ontario is looking to add a Project Manager to its Ottawa team. With decades of experience delivering infrastructure solutions, the firm has built a reputation around collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships across both public and private sectors.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys leading transportation projects while staying close to the technical work, which is very hands on. The role sits within a highly collaborative Transportation team currently sitting at around 8-10 people, supported by some highly experienced seniors in the group,
The role:You’ll take ownership of a range of transportation planning and design projects, alongside broader multi-disciplinary assignments. This includes work on municipal roadways, complete streets, active transportation infrastructure, roundabouts, and intersection improvements.
Key responsibilities:- Lead projects end-to-end, from scoping and budgeting through to design and construction support
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently, including financial performance and delivery timelines
- Provide technical oversight, direction, and problem-solving across projects
- Support proposals and contribute to reports and client deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior team members
- Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder, and subconsultant relationships
- Play a key role in ensuring successful project outcomes and client satisfaction
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario (Civil or Environmental Engineering)
- 8+ years of experience across transportation / municipal design and project management
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff
- Strong client-facing skills and communication ability
- Solid understanding of municipal infrastructure design standards and practices
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Up to $130,000 (depending on experience)
