5G FPGA Design Engineer

Seeking a skilled FPGA Design Engineer with expertise in 5G and radio technologies for a one-year contract in Ottawa, ON. Leverage your strong FPGA design and wireless protocol knowledge in this role.
As a contractual FPGA Design Engineer, you will focus on developing cutting-edge solutions in wireless communications. Your extensive experience in FPGA design, specifically in /LTE and PTP protocols, will be essential. Familiarity with high-speed interfaces and FPGA development tools like Quartus and Vivado is crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement FPGA designs for 5G applications

• Collaborate on RTL development and verification methodologies

• Utilize high-speed interfaces, including PCIe and Ethernet

• Maintain version control using Git/Git Hub

• Contribute to the development of O-RAN architecture solutions
Requirements:

• 5+ years of FPGA design experience

• Strong expertise in wireless protocols like eCPRI/CPRI

• Familiarity with UVM and high-speed digital systems

• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and HDL Coder

• Understanding of 4G/5G Radio architectures
