As an engineering intern in optical testing, you'll be responsible for characterization testing and providing support to designers and engineers. This hands-on role emphasizes the operation of optical test equipment and the analysis of results. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science as part of an accredited program in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Characterize and analyze optical PON modules
• Support engineers in evaluating diverse test results
• Effectively operate optical test equipment
• Automate various testing setups and processes
• Analyze results through post-processing techniques
Requirements:
• Pursuing a master's or bachelor's degree in engineering
• Familiarity with optical test equipment is essential
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C programming
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Previous optical coursework would be advantageous
