Project Manager – Building Science

The Project Manager – Building Science serves to manage building envelope and restoration projects from initial stage to completion, including the investigation and rehabilitation of curtain wall, roof, window, sealant, parking lot, concrete and masonry.

• Provide engineering expertise to prepare design drawings and specifications for repair and rehabilitation of building envelope components and deteriorated structures.
• Conduct condition survey assessments through testing and evaluation of building envelope and concrete systems for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Manage junior staff and project associates in conducting condition assessments.
• Prioritize and deliver multiple small/medium projects from beginning to end independently.
• Drive business development activities in the Eastern Ontario, Gatineau and Montréal areas, including scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development and preparation of proposals.
• Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems, interpret engineering specifications, and investigate design and field engineering difficulties.

• Knowledgeable about related disciplines/fields of engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in building science in a consulting or contracting environment.
• P.Eng. license and driving license.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic team‑oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards.
• Experience assessing and repairing curtain walls, windows and sealant, roof waterproofing, concrete, steel and masonry.
• French oral and writing communication capabilities considered an asset but not mandatory.

$80,000 to $95,000 CAD depending on experience.
