Lead Fire Protection Compliance Officer

Location: chalk river

Serve as the key Fire Protection Manager ensuring safety in high-consequence nuclear projects. Lead compliance and operational efficiency while guiding a team of fire specialists.
This role demands extensive expertise in Fire Protection Engineering, with 8-10 years of relevant experience. You will be responsible for delivering fire safety measures in a nuclear environment, ensuring compliance with numerous national standards and regulations. Your leadership will enhance the performance of the Fire Protection Team and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead fire safety compliance initiatives and strategies

• Manage resource allocation for the fire protection team

• Oversee engineering practices and documentation review

• Coordinate inspections and respond to system failures

• Facilitate fire hazard assessments and compliance reporting
Requirements:

• 8-10 years in Fire Protection Engineering or similar

• Licensed by a relevant provincial engineering body

• Familiarity with NFPA and building codes essential

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Experience in a regulated, unionized environment
