In this full-time role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical machinery crucial for power generation, damage control, and auxiliary systems. This position requires reading engineering drawings and calculating ship stability. Ideal candidates will have a Grade 10 education with relevant applied math and science skills. The CAF provides extensive training and educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic engineering drawings
• Calculate ship stability and troubleshoot potential issues
• Fabricate, machine, and weld parts and equipment
• Operate and maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery
• Ensure functionality of damage control systems
Requirements:
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Minimum 18 years of age, or 17 with consent
• Completed Grade 10 education
• No prior experience required
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
