Art Engineering Inc. is hiring a Surveyor in Ottawa, Ontario to manage projects and support the surveying team.

This role offers hands-on experience in the field and office each day.
Join AEI as a Surveyor, where you'll independently handle project tasks, operate survey equipment, and review engineering plans. This position emphasizes collaboration with contractors and internal teams to meet project milestones and budgets while ensuring high-quality data management and construction layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete project tasks including data preparation and calculations

• Set up and operate survey equipment like Total Stations and GPS

• Process collected field data for as-built submissions

• Prepare detailed construction layout sketches from plans

• Communicate effectively with contractors and clients
Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a civil engineering field

• Familiarity with Trimble Total Station

• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Valid ‘G’ driver’s license and personal vehicle access
