Hydro Ottawa is seeking a skilled System Operator to ensure the security and functionality of our electrical distribution systems. Focus on SCADA monitoring and effective communication during outages.

As a System Operator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of Hydro Ottawa's distribution system. Your responsibilities will include monitoring SCADA systems, assessing data, and managing field operations during both normal operations and disturbances. Effective troubleshooting and coordination with emergency services are essential to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize SCADA for real-time system monitoring

• Analyze data to uphold distribution service

• Address disturbances and direct personnel efforts

• Maintain records and coordinate with external agencies

• Provide updates during outages to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Technologist or related field diploma

• Proficiency in SCADA and OMS systems

• Completion of MEARIE certification required

• Class G driver’s license essential

• Government security clearance needed
