Process Engineering Support

The Process Engineering Support role will support the process engineering team by applying engineering theories and principles, completing moderately complex or contributing to complex projects in the design of process and support of products and tools in a manufacturing environment.

• Assist in “First Time Build” process execution and reporting of issues to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Monitor process performance through MESWeb and enhance through continuous improvement initiatives; assist in implementing continuous improvement programs to drive up yields.
• Troubleshoot and analyze process performance problems; provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
• Conduct research into complex engineering problems to develop new operating policies, capabilities, and processes.
• Assist the Process Engineering team to deliver on accountabilities; take ownership for processes under one's control.
• Create Process Assembly documentation (MAPs or visual aids) to identify solder paste type (lead or lead free), component polarity, label placement, pre-wave or post-wave activities, press-fit and depanelization if required.
• Identify fixtures such as wave pallet, press fit tooling and carriers.
• Create panelization drawings.
• Perform qualification on new processes being introduced.
• Lead Quality circles.
• Implement and suggest engineering changes.
• Knowing mole profiling for ovens would be an asset.

• Generally requires a college diploma in Engineering or a related field.

• The compensation range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 annually.
• This position is for an existing vacancy.
• The hiring process for this position does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI).
