Position: Mechanical Engineer for Enclosures at Dominion Dynamics
Join Dominion Dynamics as a Mechanical Engineer focusing on structural and enclosure designs in Ottawa. Contribute to mission-critical technologies for the harshest environments while leveraging your CAD and FEA skills.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing mechanical structures and housings for electronic systems. Ideal candidates will have 4-7 years of mechanical design experience, particularly in creating enclosures that meet rigorous environmental standards. Your expertise in Solid Works and an understanding of EMI/EMC principles will drive important innovations in defense technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical structures and protective housings for electronics

• Perform structural and thermal analyses for reliability

• Develop detailed CAD models and engineering documentation

• Collaborate on mechanical-electronic integration with engineers

• Support prototyping and testing of housing designs
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 4–7 years of mechanical design experience

• Proficient in Solid Works and FEA tools

• Knowledge of environmental protection standards

• Familiarity with thermal management and sealing methods
