DSP Design Engineer

Position: DSP Design Engineer at Celero Communications

Celero Communications Inc. seeks skilled engineers for semiconductor innovation in Ottawa and Vancouver. As a DSP Design Engineer, you will research and develop forward error correction schemes for high-speed communication systems. Ideal candidates will have industry experience and a strong theoretical background in digital communications, including error correction and coding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and develop FEC schemes for optical communication systems

• Design and optimize soft-decision FEC algorithms

• Develop coding schemes like LDPC and staircase codes

• Model FEC performance in optical communications

• Collaborate with DSP, ASIC, and firmware teams
Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Strong background in coding theory and FEC techniques

• Experience in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB

• Familiarity with Git Hub version control

• Understanding of hardware implementation languages
