Modern Niagara is searching for an HVAC Design Development Trades Specialist to enhance hydronic and steam system designs. This role prioritizes optimal design for installation and performance efficiency across projects.
In this newly created position, you'll collaborate with VDC and field teams to ensure successful design execution while minimizing risks and costs. By aligning design intent with project delivery, your insights will drive impactful decisions, enhancing coordination and compliance across hydronic, steam, and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead HVAC piping design for hydronic and steam systems
• Participate in estimating and pre-construction meetings
• Review consultant submissions for piping efficiency
• Propose alternative materials and routing strategies
• Conduct clash detection with building components
Requirements:
• Certified Journeyperson Steamfitter or equivalent
• 10+ years in HVAC piping for large projects
• Strong knowledge of hydronic systems and layouts
• Proficient in Bluebeam and BIM software
• Effective communication with engineering and trades
