Join CIMA+ as an Electrical Substation Designer and play a key role in the energy sector. Design projects primarily from home while engaging with local communities in Ottawa and Mississauga.
The Energy & Resources team at CIMA+ seeks an expert to create plans for substations and generation facilities. Candidates must have over seven years in electrical layout and a solid grasp of construction practices. This role involves site surveys, initial designs, and compliance checks with standards and codes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed design drawings for electrical substations
• Perform site assessments to determine asset conditions
• Ensure compliance with client and legal standards
• Circulate design drafts for client input and adjustments
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in electrical technology
• 7+ years experience in energy sector design
• Knowledge of CAD software, e.g., AutoCAD, Micro Station
• Excellent communication and client-focused skills
• Flexibility to adapt to project demands
