Engineer in Optical Testing Technologies

As part of the VIAVI team, you will drive advancements in optical test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will excel across various optical systems, perform critical test data analysis, and support the development cycle for new products. Your customer engagement and technical insight will play a significant role in shaping product roadmaps and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate optical testing solutions for research and production

• Conduct design verification and provide detailed reports

• Present testing data to fellow R&D teams

• Evaluate testing metrics and refine design for testing strategies

• Support transition from prototype to production testing
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or Physics

• Proficiency in Python programming and LabVIEW

• Minimum 3 years in optical test systems in fiber optics

• Experience with optical calibration methods and tools

• Familiarity with various optical components used in testing
