Position: Hybrid Mechanical Design Technologist Job
Join LRO Staffing as a Mechanical Design Technologist in a hybrid role located in Ottawa. Develop detailed, buildable designs for custom-engineered mechanical systems in industrial applications.

We are in search of Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Design Technologists with 6+ years of hands-on experience. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive models and drawings, applying GD&T principles, and collaborating closely with engineers and production teams to improve design feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed mechanical systems and component drawings

• Develop manufacturing, machining, and assembly documentation

• Apply ASME Y14.5 and GD&T for accurate designs

• Support structural and machine design requirements

• Prepare facility and equipment layout drawings based on practical needs

Requirements:

• Over 6 years of mechanical design experience required

• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

• Strong understanding of GD&T and industrial systems

• Experience designing custom equipment and welded assemblies

• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting
