Position: Senior Mechanical Design Role - Hybrid Format
An Ottawa-based organization is searching for a Senior Mechanical Design Technologist in a hybrid capacity. LRO Staffing is partnering with them to find professionals skilled in creating complex, custom-designed mechanical systems for high-demand environments.

The ideal candidate boasts over six years of practical design experience, focusing on detailed package creation. Responsibilities include developing 3D models and ensuring drawings meet manufacturing needs. Collaborate with multiple teams to tackle design challenges while enhancing the buildability of custom-engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop extensive 3D models and 2D drawings

• Produce and refine accurate assembly and detail drawings

• Apply ASME Y14.5 standards for clarity and readiness

• Oversee structural design and fabrication details

• Create space-conscious facility layout drawings

Requirements:

• 6+ years in mechanical design roles

• Expertise in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

• Strong foundation in GD&T and drawing packages

• Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Proven record in designing specialized machinery
