Lead the change in energy solutions as a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer s position offers flexibility and focuses on the critical planning of future transmission grids.
We are looking for a dedicated Transmission Planning and Studies Engineer at Jacobs, primarily targeting candidates in the Northeast region, such as New York or Philadelphia. You will be instrumental in conducting power system studies and ensuring project success through collaboration with utility clients. This role requires both technical expertise and effective communication to meet the evolving energy demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute steady-state and transient studies of power systems
• Attend and contribute to project delivery meetings
• Steer projects from initial proposal to final reports
• Interact with teams across North America and globally
• Participate actively in ISO/RTO stakeholder and technical forums
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years in power system studies
• Strong background with system operators like PJM and IESO
• Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and NPCC standards
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
