Ciena is seeking an Optical Components Product Engineer to lead manufacturing processes and technical training. In this onsite role, collaborate with R&D teams and drive improvements for optoelectronic products. Your expertise in optical device principles and production processes will ensure quality and reliability in designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as design authority for manufacturing products

• Collaborate with R&D to define specifications and requirements

• Manage product lifecycle from launch to production

• Review PFMEA for product quality assurance

• Develop automated tools for product performance monitoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in optoelectronic design

• Strong knowledge of optical devices and manufacturing processes

• Proven experience in product lifecycle management

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Willingness to travel up to 20% in North America and Asia
