Position: Optical Module Applications Engineer at Ciena
Elevate your design skills with Ciena’s Interconnects Product Applications Engineering team. This onsite role in Kanata offers hands-on work blending engineering and customer engagement in optical technologies.

As a Senior Product Applications Engineer, you'll leverage over eight years of design experience in hardware or embedded software, fostering collaboration with Product Line Management.

Your role will include developing innovative reference designs and facilitating technical sessions that address customer challenges. Work directly with R&D to devise solutions that promote seamless integration of next-generation interconnect technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical guidance to support design wins

• Define API suites and develop reference designs

• Facilitate customer technical sessions and resolve issues

• Perform lab testing to replicate and diagnose customer problems

• Support customer integration with on-site assistance

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant design experience

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Effective communication in technical settings

• Proven collaboration across engineering teams

• Experience with optical module components is a plus
