Take the lead as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Lightship, developing cutting-edge solar systems for our all-electric RVs. Collaborate creatively while enjoying a dynamic, hands-on engineering environment.
Lightship is pioneering the future of recreational vehicles and seeks a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer. This role focuses on solar system development with a small team, delving into various components like power distribution modules and charge controllers. You will also perform design analyses and prototype creations to ensure product efficacy and reliability from the start.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop high-level product requirements with teams
• Create tolerance stack analyses and apply GD&T
• Own the CAD & BOM for solar subsystems
• Execute DFMEA on designs for reliability
• Build prototypes for early de-risking initiatives
Requirements:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of design engineering experience
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM/PDM systems
• Experience in 3D CAD for electrical hardware
• Knowledge in material selection for components
