SMA America is seeking a Field Service Engineer for warranty repairs and commissioning of utility inverters. This remote role requires strong electrical skills and experience in renewables.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will troubleshoot and repair SMA’s utility inverters across the Western region.
Your role encompasses commissioning, analyzing data, and performing maintenance on utility inverter applications. A strong technical background in electrical or electronic engineering, along with 3 years of experience, is needed to ensure customer satisfaction and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair utility inverters in the field
• Assist with commissioning and maintenance activities
• Maintain inventory of spare parts provided by SMA
• Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout service
• Develop detailed knowledge of SMA inverter products
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of electrical or electronic experience
• Experience in the renewable energy sector preferred
• Ability to work nonstandard hours
• Significant travel required
