Position: Electrical Design Leader for CNL
Location: Chalk River

Join CNL as an Electrical Design Leader at the Chalk River Laboratory, where your expertise will drive innovative electrical solutions from conception to commissioning.

This fully onsite role calls for an Electrical Engineer with significant design authority oversight. You will manage project execution, guide engineering teams, and maintain rigorous standards in quality, cost, and time. Your responsibilities include designing retrofits, drafting specifications, and conducting essential power studies to support projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate design delivery and oversee engineering teams

• Develop technical specifications for electrical systems

• Mentor junior engineers and technologists

• Conduct load flow and short circuit studies with ETAP

• Liaise with customers and oversee external design reviews

Requirements:

• Honours degree in electrical engineering with over 8 years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with CSA N286/N285 quality standards

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership in engineering oversight

• Must meet security clearance requirements for the role
