Babcock Senior Marine Designer Position

Babcock is seeking a Senior Marine Designer in Victoria, BC, Ottawa, ON, or Halifax, NS. This role emphasizes structural design and the creation of technical documentation for marine applications.

As a key player, you will design and develop structural solutions, especially for naval platforms. With a minimum of eight years in structural design, your work will include producing technical drawings and providing mentorship to junior designers. Your expertise will shape engineering practices and support Babcock’s commitment to defense and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create structural designs for new marine systems

• Generate technical specifications and drawings

• Perform technical assessments of existing structures

• Review design outputs for quality assurance

• Collaborate with project engineers and management

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in engineering technology

• Certification with AScT, CET, or PEng

• Eight years of marine structural design experience

• Knowledge of Solid Works and AutoCAD

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
