Join Microchip Technology Inc. as an Engineer II in San Jose, CA, specializing in customer support for data center applications. Leverage your expertise in hardware, systems, and communications to help drive product success.
In this role, you will work closely with product development, validation, and sales teams to provide superior technical support for Data-center and Server products. Your responsibilities will include assisting with design wins, supporting product ramp-ups, and troubleshooting complex systems issues. We are looking for someone with initiative who enjoys collaborating across functional groups and geographies to find optimal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support SAS/SATA/NVMe protocols and firmware
• Assist Tier 1 OEM and ODM customers on design engagement
• Maintain system compatibility and debug lab
• Document root causes of customer issues timely
• Develop and review technical documentation for users
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 2.5+ years in applications or hardware support
• Knowledge of SAS/SATA, PCIe, NVMe, and scripting languages
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Initiative to understand and own tasks
