Environmental Inspector

Position: Full-Time Environmental Inspector Needed
Become an Environmental Inspector with Scarborough Transit Connect, working on the Scarborough Subway Extension. This key role ensures compliance with environmental regulations through diligent oversight and reporting.

Working on-site, the Environmental Inspector will report to the Environmental Compliance Officer and be integral to the Environmental Management System's effectiveness in this transit project. Responsibilities include daily inspections, comprehensive logging of activities, and proactive engagement with construction teams to resolve environmental issues timely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections per the Environmental Management System

• Log all events, incorporating photographic evidence

• Generate and compile compliance reports for management and clients

• Review noise, air quality, and proposed mitigations promptly

• Collaborate with subconsultants on environmental tasks

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in environmental discipline

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental monitoring

• Certification as Canadian Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control

• Valid Canadian driver’s license with clean record

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
