Ciena is seeking enthusiastic engineers for its hardware development team in Kanata. In this role, you will design high-performance power solutions and collaborate with teams to realize advanced optical circuit packs. Your responsibilities will include mentoring peers, managing projects, and working closely with suppliers for production design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop power systems for next generation Optical platforms
• Design high performance power circuit packs and schematics
• Collaborate with mechanical design and external suppliers
• Conduct design and performance reviews with engineering peers
• Verify designs through prototypes in engineering and production
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Engineering degree required
• 10+ years in electrical power systems design
• Experience in product development cycles and mentoring
• Strong skills in communication and teamwork
• Familiarity with PCB schematic tools and test equipment
Excel in power hardware design and contribute to innovative projects at Ciena.
