Co-Op Field Technician at GEMTEC

In this role, GEMTEC is seeking motivated individuals who are either currently enrolled in or have completed a College Diploma in civil technology or similar fields. Experience in civil construction and materials testing is advantageous and helps to optimize your learning during this 4-month fall co-op term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and sample aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt

• Carry out compaction tests on various materials

• Execute inspections on subgrades and foundations

• Perform materials testing-related tasks in the field and office

• Fulfill additional duties as required

Requirements:

• College Diploma in civil technology or comparative program

• Knowledge of materials testing preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with vehicle access

• Enthusiasm for geotechnical and environmental disciplines
