Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

Join a respected geotechnical engineering firm in Ottawa as an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer. Lead field investigations, develop design recommendations, and guide Junior Engineers while thriving in a competitive compensation environment.

This role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of CAD 80-100k for Intermediate candidates. You will be responsible for a variety of geotechnical engineering tasks, from planning investigations to preparing comprehensive reports. Working both independently and in a team, you'll manage multiple projects, ensuring quality deliverables while fostering client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geotechnical engineering work and report preparation

• Perform soil mechanics analyses and design recommendations

• Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters

• Supervise geotechnical investigations and instrumentation

• Develop solutions for complex design programs

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering

• Registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.)

• 10+ years in a consulting engineering environment

• Experience with geotechnical drilling and assessments

• Strong leadership and project management experience
