Located in Kanata, Ontario, Robotics Centre is at the forefront of manufacturing defense-focused unmanned aerial systems. The Senior Mechanical Engineer role requires a deep understanding of UAV engineering principles. You'll lead product design from concept to production, ensuring innovative, cost-effective solutions meet rigorous performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design airframes and structural components for UAVs
• Drive the development of payload integration systems
• Perform detailed analysis including FEA and hand calculations
• Mentor junior engineers throughout the design process
• Transition designs smoothly into manufacturing phases
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in UAV or robotics
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability principles
• Strong CAD proficiency, preferably in Solidworks
• Ability to communicate across disciplines
